2010 REGISTRATION INFORMATION



Norwalk Junior Lacrosse holds registrations online, in person, or by mail.

GENERAL INFORMATION
BOYS: The NJrLax boys will compete in CONNY’s four age divisions: Under-15 Seniors (born 1/1/95 or later and in 8th grade or lower), Under-13 Juniors (born 1/1/97 or later), the new U-11 Lightnings level (born 1/1/99 or later), and U-9 Bantams (born 1/1/01 or later).
GIRLS: For NJrLax girls, there will be three grade-based divisions, 7th-8th grade Seniors, 5th-6th grade Juniors, and Bantams for 3rd  & 4th graders.  There will also be a girls "Little Laxers" program for 1st & 2nd grade girls.  Little Laxers online registration will be handled separately from the normal registration.

REGISTRATION DETAILS

Register Online: Online registration is the most convenient method for you and for the volunteers who process your registrations. You may register online and pay with a credit card. Online registration is available to all players who will be paying the standard fees. Parents seeking financial aid must register in-person or by mail (see Financial Aid below)
To register online click Register Online in the left-hand menu.
Register In Person: In-person registration will be available at Lacrosse Unlimited, 520 West Avenue, Norwalk (Date and Times to be Announced).  A parent or guardian must be present to sign the registration form. Payment must be made at that time by check or credit card (financial aid is available, see below).
In-person registration also will be available at the Pre-Season Tune-Up Camps in early March, but a lacrosse stick for first year players or a helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, and arm pads for boys are unlikely to be available for players who register so late..
Register by Mail: Parents may register their children by mail. Click on “Documents” in the left-hand menu and download the 2010 Registration. Complete the form and mail it with a check made to Norwalk Lacrosse Association to:

COST: $125.00 Registration Fee ($50 for Girls Little Laxers).   An additional $25 fee for USLacrosse Membership is required and will also be applied.

  • All registered boys will receive game shorts to keep and a reversible game jersey they will turn in at the end of the season.
  • Girls receive a game jersey and shorts to keep.
  • All players receive a mouthpiece which they are required to wear (other mouthpieces, such as those provided by dentists, may be substituted).
  • While supplies last, first year players will receive a lacrosse stick, which they can keep if they play for the whole season.
Refund Policy: If a player registers then decides not to play before his/her age/gender group’s sixth practice, NJrLacrosse will refund their registration fee, less $30.00 which covers non-recoverable City of Norwalk field use fees and USLacrosse membership (includes insurance). After the fifth practice, the registration fee is non-refundable.
Financial Aid: Parents seeking financial aid should contact Norwalk Lacrosse Association President Jack Couch. Coach Couch will be at Lacrosse Unlimited during the In-Person Registration or you can call him at 203-838-0232. His email is . All financial aid discussions will be strictly confidential between the parent, Coach Couch, and Treasurer Susan Brown and will be either in-person or by mail.

Use of NJrLacrosse Equipment (Boys Only): Norwalk Junior Lacrosse has a limited supply of helmets, shoulder pads, gloves, and arm pads available for players to use throughout the season. Equipment is available on a first come, first served basis determined by day and time of registration until supplies are exhausted. So register early. Those using NJrLacrosse equipment must provide a $100.00 security deposit check when checking out the equipment. NJrLacrosse will cash the security deposit check only in the event of loss or damage to the equipment, beyond the normal wear and tear of play; the check will be returned or destroyed when the equipment is returned in satisfactory condition.
